Races are now setup in a series rather than all standalone. You can change cars between races within the series as long as it's in the same performance category, so you're not stuck with a car you don't like, or you just want some variety. You also don't need to place in the top 3 to advance, so that gives me extra incentive to go back and replay to try and do better.
