These rewards are split between all members of the party assigned to handle the mission. Therefore, it's extremely beneficial to pair an entry-level recruit with an Assassin level 10 or higher on the most difficult missions to quickly advance the entry-level recruit to Assassin rank.
In practice, a new recruit can be advanced to level 10 in no more than two missions using this strategy, with no chance of mission failure. The second portion of the mini-game involves seizing control of the 12 cities for the Assassins, and maintaining that control. There are three primary phases to concern yourself with if you want to control all of the cities on the map:. As you execute contract missions, no matter who controls the city at the time, each mission completed leads to a shift in Templar vs.
Assassin control of the city. Your gains are not permanent and must be defended. Weakening Templar control of a city before seizing it is irrelevant and can be ignored since 1 you do not gain daily cash and XP payouts from the cities until they are siezed for the Assassins, and 2 you can seize control of a city at any time whether you ever weakened Templar control of the city or not, although the amount you have weakened Templar control does appear to impact the initial Assassin control level after you've seized the city.
These missions are five star difficulty and typically yield a reward of cash and XP. After a successful mission, the city will appear under Assassin control on the map. Each Assassin controlled city will have additional statistics on the main map that show the cash, XP and crafting ingredients earned from that city each day. Additionally, you will find a new button option for each Assassin-controlled city.
The new option is labeled "Manage Assassin" and allows you to assign or recall one to five Assassins from each city you control. Cripple the French military through clandestine means. With the French military now weakened, Genoese Captain Andrea Doria is orchestrating a citizens' revolt. Aid him with manpower and weapons. Captain Doria's revolt was only a mild success, and his name is now known to the French vassals ruling Genoa.
Protect the Captain and escort him out of the city before the French find him. There has not been a stable Assassins' Guild in Jerusalem for over a century.
Assess your resources and begin recruiting. The ruling Mamluks disapprove of our recruiting efforts. They fear the growing strength of the Assassins and have arrested Grand Master Mujir as part of a program of intimidation. Rescue Mujir in spectacular fashion, but harm no one. Send a message that the Assassins will not be intimidated. A wayward party of Ottoman Sepahis recently clashed with patrolling Mamluk riders. Send your wisest Assassins and negotiate for peace before tensions boil over into more violence.
Show both parties the value of peace through diplomacy. Emboldened by recent Portuguese colonization efforts, the Templars have started sending "missionaries" as far east as India. Collect intelligence on the activities of these agents and map their movements. King Manuel I of Portugal — a pious and credulous man — is paying large sums of money to fund these missionary expeditions, not realizing the Templars are diverting the money to their cause.
Liberate this money from its owners and put it to better use. The man in charge of the Templars' overseas proselytizing is a sea Captain named Francisco. Board one of his ships in Lisbon and eliminate him at sea. The famous blacksmiths of Toledo have fled to Madrid after Templars commandeered their forges. Assemble a band of Assassins and reclaim their property from the Templars.
Grand Inquisitor Cisneros has continued his predecessor's bad habit of persecuting Assassins for crimes unrelated to our activities. Recently we have been blamed for a rash of murders of cardinals. Find the true culprits and bring them to justice. From our investigations, we have learned that a small but dedicated band of Templars intend to murder King Ferdinand with the hope that will divide the kingdoms of Aragon and Castile.
Protect him at all costs. A treasure housed in a wealthy merchant's home is rumored to be of First Civilization origin. Break into the merchant's house and acquire the artifact to assay its true value. Hinder his army's efforts to expel our Order, but do not resort to violence.
Our efforts to obscure our presence in the city have been successful. Now we must rebuild. Recruit disgruntled soldiers from King Louis's exhausted army and grow our ranks. The Knights Hospitaller have captured some of our Assassins and are holding them prisoner in the Palace of the Grand Master.
Organize a rescue and bring our men and women home. Most of our Assassins have been recovered, but Master Assassin Castor was taken to a secret compound near the peak of Ataviros for further enhanced interrogations. Reconnoiter the area in secret and make maps of this location. Master Assassin Castor has been murdered by the Hospitallers.
We have no reason for caution now. Organize an assault on the Ataviros and destroy the Hospitaller compound. There are also unique missions that can only be accessed after completing another unique mission and finally there are unique missions that can be accessed at any time. Most Unique missions cost money and don't directly earn it back.
However, completing them often allows the player to gain certain advantages such as increased income or a supply of bomb materials. They have a relatively high difficulty and are easier to complete if Templar influence is low not confirmed. City Defend missions can only be accessed when Templars are attacking an Assassin controlled city.
This generally only happens when Assassin influence is low. Repeatable Missions: These missions regenerate periodically usually new ones appear when another mission in said city is completed or when assassin influence has decreased.
These missions always offer a reward in both money and experience, the magnitude of which depends on the difficulty of the mission. Repeatable missions have diamond symbols to signify their difficulty. Known Issues : Sometimes after defending a city it can disappear from the list. This appears to be a minor glitch, but don't worry. When this happens it's likely because in the mean time there was still a mission going on in the same city, which was uncompleted throughout the entire process of defending the city.
